SASS Theory of Change

There is a block of text that reads: As an organization, Sexual Assault Support Services believes that positive change occurs when community members unite to foster social conditions that ensure survivors of sexual violence, and individuals in general, have access to bodily autonomy and fulfilling, healthy relationships. SASS is committed to building a community of care that values all people & demonstrates radical acceptance, practices harm reduction, mitigates trauma, and engages with the multi-systems work needed to reduce the prevalence of violence.

The rest of the image is illustrative and looks like a whimsical machine. Moving along a conveyor-belt, gears, and magnets, there is additional text that discusses how SASS turns resources into services for the community: SASS receives multiple sources of funding to provide 24-hour services; funding keeps things moving. Survivors seek support, carrying social and cultural baggage; in the context of oppressive systems and state-based violence, survivor centered services are key. There is oil in the machine, which is SASS prioritizing staff resilience and wellbeing. Gears represent our programs and services. There is a bucket with a rope lifting it, labeled "Education & Prevention" and a pully labeled "Collaboration with Partners". Additional text reads, "We leverage resources to help survivors access their power," and "Community of Care Model". Lastly, there is a magnet that is "uplifting and empowering" and moving toward "Creating New Social Conditions - in collaboration with our partners, SASS aims to establish consent-focused cultural change."
