About the Board

The SASS board is comprised of Eugene and the broader state of Oregon area professionals from a wide range of backgrounds, including public administration, healthcare, psychotherapy, legal aid, marketing, sex work, architecture, and public policy. Their collective expertise spans planning and reporting in higher education, mental health counseling, legal advocacy for survivors, marketing within activism communities, reproductive health and forensic nursing, and policy development. This diversity ensures that the board brings broad perspectives and practical insights to support SASS’s mission.

Our board members are united by a deep commitment to SASS’s core values, particularly its survivor-centered, anti-oppression approach and the goal of providing accessible and confidential services. They find meaning in supporting both survivors and the dedicated staff who work on the ground to  foster change. Outside their board roles, these individuals are engaged in a mix of hobbies and community activities, such as music, dance, hiking, athletic pursuits, political activism, and  involvement with other advocacy organizations. This blend of professional skill, personal passion, and community engagement helps drive SASS’s ongoing impact and aligns with its mission of creating opportunities for survivors of sexual violence and their supporters to find healing, justice, and liberation.
