Civil Rights Statement
SASS operates its program, services and activities in compliance with federal nondiscrimination laws. No person shall, on the basis of race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency), disability, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any of our programs.
Nondiscrimination Statement
SASS does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, clients, volunteers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.

Filing a Complaint with SASS
To initiate a complaint process, you can contact our Executive Director via our website, submit a complaint to SASS’s Executive Director via email at director@sass-lane.org or, for complaints regarding the Executive Director, to SASS’s Board President at board@sass-lane.org.

Complaint process for the Oregon Department of Justice, Crime Victim and Survivor Services Division (DOJ/CVSSD)
To initiate a general complaint related to CVSSD grant agreement violations, please follow the complaint process outlined on the CVSSD website.
You may also file a Civil Rights Complaint directly with the Oregon DOJ/CVSSD by following the procedures outlined on this downloadable form. Additional information about DOJ/CVSSD Civil Rights Requirements for awardees and employees can be found on their website.
