Important Update:

Federal Funding Pause & Our Continued Commitment to You

February, 2025

Dear Survivors and Community Members,

We are reaching out to share important news regarding federal funding. As you may have heard, all federal funding for programs like ours has been paused. This is a challenging development that negatively affects not only our agency but also the broader network of services dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual violence.

While this news is concerning, we want to assure you that our commitment to serving this community remains unwavering. Our services are still fully available, including:

  • 24/7 Crisis Line: 541-343-7277 or 844-404-7700
  • Chatline: 541-343-7277, Mondays – Fridays 9am-5 pm
  • Medical and Legal Advocacy: We are here to help you navigate these systems with care and expertise.
  • Support Groups: Connect with others who understand your experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

Your safety, healing, and well-being remain our top priority, and we will continue to provide these critical services without interruption.

However, this pause in federal funding underscores the importance of advocating for programs like ours. Organizations like SASS rely on this funding to ensure survivors have access to the resources they need to heal and thrive. Without sustained support, these vital services could be at risk in the future.

We need your voice. Please join us in urging our representatives to prioritize funding for survivor support programs. Here’s how you can help:

  1. Call or email your representative and share why funding for programs like SASS matters to you and our community. If you feel moved to do so, you can share your own story about how services like ours have impacted your life or the lives of your loved ones. The number for the Congressional switchboard is 202-224-3121.
  2. Spread the word to friends, family, and community members about the importance of this issue.

If you’d like to support survivors directly, here is one immediate way you can help:

  • Donate to SASS: Your financial contributions allow us to continue providing critical services. Consider becoming a sustaining donor or including SASS in your planned giving. Visit sass-lane.org/donate to make a gift today.

Together, we can make a difference and ensure that survivors continue to have access to the care and support they deserve.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here for you, today and always.

With gratitude and solidarity,

SASS Hospital Services in Eugene & Lane County – A Briefing

November 2022

Announcement: We’ve Moved!

Sexual Assault Support Services (SASS) has moved to a new, larger office to accommodate the growth and development that the agency has experienced over the last few years. SASS will use this new office space to provide expanded services to survivors and open up room for future growth. Though the new office is just across the street from the old location, it offers an exciting new world of possible ways that SASS can meet the community’s needs.

“We are overjoyed to be able to grow into this new location to better serve our community and agency mission,” says Lindsay Selser, SASS Board Chair. “This new space allows us to grow our important outreach, advocacy, and support services for survivors and their loved ones.”

The new office address for SASS, as of November 28 is:

1902 Jefferson St, Suite 1

Eugene, OR 97405

SASS is continuing to offer the same core services. As always, survivors can connect with us through our 24/7 crisis and support line; in-person services are by appointment only. The SASS Board, Executive Director, and staff are excited about the new horizons that this move represents, but we know that one thing won’t change, no matter where we are located: SASS will always be survivor-centered and empowerment-based.

Anuncio: ¡Nos Hemos Mudado!

1902 Jefferson St, Suite 1

Eugene, OR 97405
